Project Summary:
This project builds on the project above. The
fungus Phomopsis has been found to have a very wide
host range within the Asteraceae. This makes the fungus
a much more commercially attractive proposition
for development as a mycoherbicide. The aims of
this project are to assess the production of
mammalian toxins by the fungus, develop solid formulations
and novel liquid formulations and to establish
the effectiveness of the fungus in the field.
