What Is A MOO?

A MOO is an on-line environment where people come to exist. To exist as themselves, or to play any role they want.
In MOOs, you can be anyone.

There are many rooms where you can sit around and talk with minds from far across the world, places to challenge them to games, worlds upon worlds of scenic locations.

The MOO is a concept descended from MUDs (Multi User Dungeon). A MUD is a text-based role-playing game, like Dungeons & Dragons or Diablo,
where you can be a sword-wielding fighter or mage with a team of other players to battle all kinds of computer-generated creatures.

MOOs are not games. Most of them exist for social and programming use.

AussieMOO is an on-line environment designed to facilitate educational needs. It is also used for social interaction.
We cater for classes and conferences, as well as a multi-themed public area. We have a very friendly wizardly and administration staff and an excellent interactive tutorial.
